Our menus are built around fresh-as-it-comes day boat fish as well as locally-sourced plant-based dishes

Our menus change constantly with the seas and the seasons. Alongside as-fresh-as-it-comes Hastings fish, landed a stone’s throw away and brought straight to the kitchen, plant-based dishes reign supreme, showing off the bountiful harvest that our local area has to offer. Sea and Shoots.

From 11am we serve a menu of breakfast items such as bacon butties, scrambled eggs & Sussex Charmer on toast, and chorizo with fried eggs and chips, as well as an epic Full English.

From midday, tuck into a full menu of larger and smaller dishes, platters and boards. These will include numerous catches of the day – from grilled flounders to a Boatyard fish pie – as well as plant-based specials such as vibrant roasted cauliflower with tahini, pomegranate molasses, raisins, pine nuts and kale. There’ll always be a delicious soup of the day, too.

On weekends we brunch. Tuck into decadent dishes from kedgeree and kippers – locally landed and smoked in the Old Town – to merguez sausages, cauliflower cheese rarebit and French toast. Throw in some steak, add on oysters and enjoy ceviche and tartares overlooking the boats that brought it in.

You’ll find homemade cakes and pastries on our bar throughout the day, along with nibbles, snacks and crisps.

Our food is washed down with an extensive list of natural and biodynamic wines – including local natural wine on tap, as well as craft beers, carefully-sourced coffees and teas and cocktails.
